It’s not Top Gear because it's not supposed to be. It's another type of car show, and I'm loving it! I think they are doing a really good job with it, and hope it continues for many seasons to come!

I started watching it also, I kinda like it. The guy they have appraising cars towards the end is a little nutty but overall it is pretty good.

I don’t watch all his videos on YouTube, but he does have some very interesting cars on the program and it’s nice to have more focus on the technical aspects and the history of some cars as well.

The great car programming available online has been a great filler for the void that Top Gear left behind.

I think it’s a little thin. Some smiles, some interesting info. I DVR it so I miss the commercials. Don’t think I would spend the time if I had to wade through the commercials.

its no top gear, but again its not just another car builder show flooding the tv with their foolish antics.

Jay is a bit of a yutz but living in his town has the benefit of watching him do burnouts like in a green Mopar that he rocks.

I’m glad to see him back on TV and doing a car show (seriously, why did it take this long for someone to give him one?); but, I have to say, I liked his web videos more - where he would spend like 15-20 minutes talking about one car in fine detail, then go out and drive it. The CNBC show also has an alarming shortage of Duesenbergs.

While I think the whole dustup with Leno and Conan was more the fault of NBC’s inept management than anything, he does make a good point. When you have five years’ notice that your job is ending, why the hell wouldn’t you go out and start talking to other prospective employers and put something together? Why was he so happy to just take that obvious demotion to prime time just to stay in the “NBC family”?

Letterman found a job at CBS immediately after leaving NBC, Conan got back on the air at TBS almost the minute his noncompete expired, Leno was #1 in the ratings and a hot commodity, surely some other network would have picked him up for 11:30 if he had shopped around.

Maybe not having a professional agent to represent him isn’t something to brag about.

I like it. I found it funny when he visited the Art Center in one of the earlier episodes because my brother is studying there right now.

Hopefully it has the diversity of cars that his online show has.

I remember that one and the Letterman clip. Never saw the Kimmel clip and I can’t believe Jay did it.

He should have left the Tonight Show and started doing this years ago. I like him waaay more as a car guy than I ever did as a comedian, and you can tell he’s enjoying himself a lot more, too.

Yeah, he’s definitely better as a car guy. I entertain dreams of quitting my job and working at his garage, cuz that would be amazing.

I’ve seen the Letterman CICGC, but not the Leno one. I need to start watching those again - kinda forgot about them.
